1. You'll find our rooms to be very quiet. This is a persistent problem at many other small inns and hotels. Noise is not a significant issue at the Joshua Grindle. The rooms in the main house are sensitively arranged and well insulated and the other buildings are similarly buffered and have double paned windows. Being centered on a large property, road noise is not a complaint.

3. Location! If you plan a visit to Mendocino, make sure to choose an inn that's in the town - not a drive up or down Highway One. At the Joshua Grindle it's just a stroll to the best restaurants, shops and galleries. The Headlands State Park/Beach is just a five minute walk away.

4. Parking. A scarce commodity at many inns with only streetparking. At the Joshua Grindle you will have access to private and secure parking for each guest room and a bicycle shed for your outdoor equipment.
