This estate has a long history of weddings, the first being that of Alice Spencer and Joshua Grindle - wed here in the Spencer Hills home in 1876. Spencer and his wife, Aseneth, gifted property to the newlyweds on their wedding day and the next year construction began on a home for Alice and Joshua, just a hundred feet away - now the site of the Joshua Grindle Bed and Breakfast Inn.
