Deep cleaning

John Fitts, Hotelier par excellance, taught Cindy and I many things. Possessed of a laser like attention to details, he would frequently bust us for room errors that we couldn't believe our housekeepers could miss. On these opportunities he would remind us that as managers we could only ever hope to expect what we inspect. Cindy and I have taken this truism to heart here at the Joshua Grindle Inn. Each room is inspected by an innkeeper before your arrival. Our room inspection kit contains everything needed to correct most common housekeeping oversights, but over time situations requiring more indepth maintenance will become deferred. Today we closed a room for deep cleaning.

  1. Beds and all furnishings dismantled for cleaning and vacuuming.
  2. Wood surfaces treated and polished.
  3. Tubs and showers inspected for grout repair and cleaning.
  4. Carpets and rugs spotted and cleaned.
What did I do?
Dismantled, lubed and cleaned the bathroom fan!
