- The Joshua Grindle Inn is a smoke free inn. Smoking is only permitted on outside porches and in the garden.
- A fourteen day cancellation notice prior to 12:00 noon on day of arrival is required or you are obligated for full charge of reservation. Holiday periods require a 30 day cancellation notice. 50% (minimum one night charge) payment is due and payable when your reservation is made and the balance is due and payable upon arrival. Holidays and packages/specials are reserved by prepayment in full and will be charged to your credit card at the time of booking. A $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged for all cancellations, even those received 14 days prior to scheduled date of reservation (30 days for Holidays). Cancellations with in the 14 days or (30 days for holiday periods), sorry, no refunds or credits given. Guest Houses have a 30 day cancellation policy with a $100 fee. No credit or refunds for cancellations with in the 30 days of arrival.
- Two night minimum stay requirement on weekends and through the months of July and August. Three and four night minimum during holiday and festival periods.
- We ask that you leave your pets at home or make arrangements at the local kennel.
- Rates are for two people (plus 11% tax). Rates are $189 and $359; please ask about our specials and packages. Our rooms accommodate two persons maximum.
- Children 12 years and up in the company of a guardian are welcomed.
- We are unable to accommodate groups at our small intimate inn. A group would be three (3) or more rooms.
- Check-in is any time after 3:00pm. Please advise us if you expect to arrive after 6:00pm. We are happy to arrange a late arrival for you. Check-out is 11:00am.

- We have a selection of fine Mendocino County wines on hand for purchase.
- Gift baskets of local wine, cheese, fruit and sweets are available with advance request.

Facilities
|
- Off street parking, a rare commodity in the Village, is plentiful at JGI -- leave your car; all Mendocino is within easy walking distance.
- We have our guest parlor for an informal gathering place with newspapers and brochures, coffee service in the mornings and evening refreshments, games and antique pump organ.
- Outdoor seating optional for breakfast, and great picnic spots on property.
- Our delicious, full breakfasts are served in our breakfast room in a flow of service generally between 9:00 and 10:30am unless otherwise stated. With advance notice and within reason, we are happy to accommodate special diets.
- Guest refrigerator available in the "telephone room".
- Telephone available (local calls are free, long-distance requires a calling card).
- Wifi is free, unsecured and available in the main house including the guest parlor, the Lupe Gorden House rooms and the Grindle Guest House (not available in the Watertower or the Dolphin House - sorry.)

| The Innkeepers want to remind you that Mendocino is remote by the standards of modern technology. We do have a telephone available and calling cards for purchase. We have spotty cellular service in Mendocino. Depending upon your service carrier, you may need to drive ten miles north to Fort Bragg to use your phone. |
